Our use of technology is purposeful and integrated seamlessly into teaching to personalise learning and empower students to take charge of their educational journey. Each student is provided with their own iPad, a versatile tool that supports tailored instruction, accessibility, and creative expression.
Through a variety of educational apps, digital organisation tools, and interactive platforms, students can learn at their own pace, showcase their understanding in diverse ways, and develop vital skills such as planning, time management, and self-monitoring.
Our therapeutic framework ensures that technology use is supported by strong relationships and emotional regulation strategies. Educators and therapeutic staff work closely together to help students build healthy technology habits, practise self-advocacy, and apply coping skills within meaningful learning experiences. Technology at Edgewood is not a substitute for connection but a means to enhance engagement, confidence, and resilience.
